Pontiac

Pontiac was a brand of vehicles which were manufactured for the first time in the start of the 20th century with the name Oakland Motor Company. In 1926, Pontiac’s name was changed to Motor Company of Pontiac. This product was sold in Mexico, United States and Canada. Pontiac was carried out for many years as a branch of General Motors.

Frequent ongoing economic problems, it was announced by GM that Pontiac brand will be parted by the end of this year.GM will instead concentrate on four more core brands located in North America which are Cadillac, Buick, GMC and Chevrolet.Wagon Works and Pontiac Spring were integrated by Albert G. North and Harry Hamilton in July 1899.They took over the production of the Rapid Truck in the year 1905 which was presented two years before. They took the decision of producing the vehicles in year 1907. The vehicle of the brand was

presented by the Wagon Works and Pontiac Spring. This vehicle was the high wheeler and it weighed about 1000 pounds. Its engine was two cylinders. The sample of the vehicle was put in display in the month of October, 1907 in a show which was the result of the sponsorship of Association of the Carriage Dealers, New York City. In the month of December of the year 1907, a number of new vehicles of the same brand were also put on exhibition at the Automobile Show in Chicago. The press gave a lot of coverage to the vehicle and the vehicle had the feature of drive through resistance communication and twofold chain. The base of the wheel was about 70 inches and its face wheels were 38.
