Will Koch

Holiday World and Splashin’ Safari owner Will Koch has died on Sunday evening June 13, 2010. The exact cause of his death is not known yet but his family believes he died due to the complications from diabetes. At the time of his death he was 48. Will Koch was a man with great ability to handle business and his contribution behind the success story of Holiday World Theme Park and Splashin’ Safari Water Park will always be remembered. Will Koch was a highly educated person as he earned a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern California.

A spokesperson Paula Werne said,

“Will was not only our leader, he was our dear friend. Our park family is in mourning for this sweet man who worked tirelessly to bring fun and happiness to so many families in the 20 years he ran the park.”

It was also announced that Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari will not be closed on Monday June 14, 2010 and it will be owned by the Koch family after his sudden death. More than 1 million visitors come to enjoy at Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari each year from 2006 to 2009. Will Koch is survived by his wife Lori and three children named, William, Leah and Lauren. My condolences got out with the family of Will Koch. No doubt he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
