Retinoblastoma, a Treatable Cancer

Grandmothers are always been great blessings for the child and yet again an eagled eye grandmother have saved a child from a deadly disease. Ewan Boarder, 10 year old kid was saved by her grandmother by noticing something different in a photo.

Ewan’s grandmother noticed a white spot in Ewan’s eye in the picture and then she asked his mother to get him checked. Ewan went to a local hospital and sent to London Hospital where he was diagnosed with Retinoblastoma. He was treated for this dangerous disease, although he lost his right eye during the process but survived.

Retinoblastoma is a cancer which develops rapidly in the cells of retina. Retina is the light detecting part of the eye.
It is a kind of cancer which is well treatable and the cure ratio in Retinoblastoma is much greater than other cancers. Every nine out of ten children could be cured from Retinoblastoma.

Samantha Boarder, mother of Ewan told that she is really thankful to her mother what she did for Ewan. She stated that Ewan attended General clinics several times but no one has ever point it out and my mother right after watching his eye asked me to get his eye examined.

According to the reports, Ewan’s cancer has been diagnosed and treated well within time. The reports of body scans reveal that the other body parts remain safe from the cancer. Now Ewan has lost his eye but he will be having a normal life throughout so thanks to his grandmother.
