Marilyn Monroe, the first nudity on Playboy cover page

Marilyn Monroe, the very gorgeous, elegant and super actress of the bygone era, snatches the headlines today because an auction of almost $310,000 was organized by the California home ‘Profiles in History’ (items from the world of Hollywood), some of the items belonged to the ravishing beauty of the yesteryears were also showcased to be grabbed.

The 1st June was the late actress’ 84 birthday, who had the distinction of being the first model of the cover page of Playboy. Thus Playboy and Marilyn Monroe cannot be separated from each other. Whenever the history is spoken about Playboy, the mention of Marilyn Monroe would come for sure.

The California based company that arranged the auction opened it with the price of $250,000. The dress, which got prominence was of the late actress and was described as the “most important film dress that was auctioned” as enshrined in the official website of Marilyn Monroe.

When the Playboy magazine was launched in 1949, Marilyn was offered to pose nude for the cover page, which she happily accepted. The magazine featured the famous blondes’ photos as its center fold.

Although more than four decades have gone after her death, nonetheless her belongings raise too much passion among her fans. In January 2009, a crazy fan for her paid above 4 million dollars for the burial niche which is above the crypt of Marilyn. The gorgeous actress’ hat, which she used to wear in movies and in personal life, was sold at $200,000.
